Arrival on Friday 3 July

The Club trip again started later in the year, this time to avoid the Pre-Worlds competition and to get the same accommodation as previously. A few new faces from other clubs were joining us this year, some to meet us down there. The majority of the group were in a different part of the same gite as last year, with smaller annexes for Pete, Liz and for Roly and Brian.
Arrived at Laragne at about 2pm local time, unpacked the trailer and went off to the supermarket to stock the gites. Managed to fit in a late flight from the North T/O of Chabre. Although the wind was not totally on the face, there was enough wind pulled on for 4 pilots, 2 H/G, 2 P/G to take off.. Nothing epic just a gentle fly around to land at the campsite. gatecrashed the pre-Worlds party in the evening, managed to blag some T-shirts, (As modelled by Phil on Sunday.)
